The U.S. Central Command has released videos showing missiles being fired and jets taking off in what it said was strikes “to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus”. According to Associated Press other footage released by the military showed U.S. munitions striking what appeared to be a variety of targets from drones to buildings. The U.S. and Israel launched a major attack on Iran on Saturday.
Black and white aerial footage showed what appeared to be a drone on a runway, a radar tower, a missile battery, and a compound of buildings. They were all being struck by what seemed to be bombs or missiles and followed by large explosions. U.S. forces striking Iran focused on locations “that posed an imminent threat,” including “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields,” Central Command said in a statement on Saturday. The military didn’t provide more details about the videos and didn’t disclose the exact time or location of the strikes.
