Under the microscope
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, after the official confirmation of the death of Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic, Iranians living in the UK celebrated and danced in front of the Islamic Republic’s embassy and the Prime Minister’s Office in London, reviving the memory of all the immortals of the homeland during the 47 years of the Islamic Republic’s rule.
At 9:45 a.m. on Saturday February 28, 2026, Ali Khamenei was killed in an Israeli missile attack at the “Leadership House” in Tehran, ending his 36-year dictatorship.
He was bombed by Israeli jets while he had promised not to see Israel for the next twenty-five years.
The Leader’s House, located at the end of Pastor Street in Tehran, was one of the first targets in the Israeli-American war against the Islamic Republic, which began on the morning of Saturday, March 28.
