Former army director-general Ian Langford says the Iranian Opposition must pick up “leftover elements of the regime” and create a “new Iran” as a result. “This will need to be an Iranian-led opposition movement that will oust the Mullahs and this regime and be replaced temporarily by an alternate security provider,” Mr Langford told Sky News host Steve Price. “The alternative to that is civil war.”
