Iran’s Foreign Ministry has dismissed the possibility of negotiations while the country remains under attack. Speaking at a press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Iran cannot engage in talks under current military pressure and stressed that the country’s actions are purely defensive. Baghaei also criticized the presence of U.S. forces in the Middle East, saying American military deployments in the region create instability and divisions among regional countries. During the briefing, he addressed reports about alleged incidents involving neighboring countries and reiterated that Iran’s armed forces had not carried out attacks in the areas mentioned. He also confirmed that Iran’s new Supreme Leader has been officially selected in accordance with constitutional procedures. The comments come amid escalating tensions in the region as the conflict involving Iran, the United States and its allies continues to intensify.
