Cruz: Let Iranians Topple the Regime

Tensions in the Middle East continue to rise as the conflict with Iran enters its seventh month. After overnight U.S. strikes on Iranian military targets in the Strait of Hormuz, some lawmakers are urging the White House to increase pressure on Tehran.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) says he’d like to see the long-term goal be the collapse of Iran’s regime, stating: “Arm the protestors, the people of Iran. Arm the Kurds and let the protestors remove this regime from power, not American boots on the ground but the Iranian people.”
