With no foreign journalists on the ground and no independent reporting, much of what happened was recorded by the people who were there. Across the country, people filmed protests, shootings, arrests, the wounded, the dead and the aftermath. Their footage reached the outside world in fragments, often without clear dates, locations or context.
This Is Our Story brings these images together with first-hand accounts from eyewitnesses, survivors and bereaved families; revealing how events unfolded and what people experienced. The documentary restores context to isolated clips, preserves testimony and creates a fuller record of what happened. English subtitles make that record accessible beyond Iran.
