More than 70 Chinese nationals have been evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan as fighting between the United States, Israel and Iran intensifies. According to the Chinese embassy, 76 citizens crossed the Astara checkpoint into southern Azerbaijan on Sunday and were transported by bus to the capital, Baku. Evacuees expressed gratitude for the embassy’s coordination, describing the transfer process as smooth and orderly. Beijing issued a consular alert offering assistance to citizens entering or transiting Azerbaijan. The evacuation comes after major U.S.-Israeli operations against Iran and retaliatory strikes across the region heightened security risks for foreign nationals.
