French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered the country’s aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to set course for the Mediterranean amid Iran war. “Since last Saturday, war has once again engulfed the … Middle East, triggered by strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran,” he said in a televised address. “It is now spreading throughout the region and having grave consequences for peace and security for all. “Faced with this unstable situation and with the uncertainties of the coming days, I’ve ordered that the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, its air assets, and its frigates escort set course for the Mediterranean.”
