As the funeral procession of the late Ali Khamenei has been postponed amid continued US-Israeli strikes, the council of clerics charged with choosing his successor are yet to make an announcement, despite whispers that a decision may already have been taken. This after Israel said early on March 3rd that any new appointment would be immediately targeted for assassination.
