Dramatic footage shows the surviving crew of the Thai-flagged bulk carrier Mayuree Naree floating on lifeboats. The cargo ship was struck by missiles off the coast of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz yesterday. Black smoke was seen rising from the charred ship’s hull as the crew escaped on lifeboats. A crew of 23 people were onboard the ship when it was hit in the horror attack. No casualties have so far been reported. It comes as the Strait of Hormuz has been weaponised by Iran with small ‘kamikaze boats’ and mines dispatched in the shipping lane.
