Iran has launched the devastating Sejjil missile for the first time in the war, as it continues its strikes on Israel and the wider Middle East. The surface-to-surface weapon is one of Iran’s most advanced ballistic missiles, with a range of up to 2,500km and a 700kg payload. As the Sejjil uses solid propellant, it can be stored fuelled and launched quickly, making it harder to detect and strike before launch. It adds to an arsenal including super-heavy Khorramshahr missiles equipped with two-tonne warheads, Kheibar Shekan, Qadr, and Emad missiles.
