Trump says he expected Iran war’s impact to be ‘much worse’

There are growing fears the war in Iran is turning into a full-blown energy crisis. Oil and gas prices are soaring after tit-for-tat attacks on energy infrastructure in the Gulf. The World Trade Organisation says the impact of the war on trade and growth could be worse than expected. However, in a meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister, US President Donald Trump claims he thought the economic impact would be worse.
