The US and Iran are holding face-to-face talks in Pakistan, but there’s little sign of tensions easing. We don’t yet know what’s being discussed in the room, and officials from both sides have made contradictory claims about unfreezing Iranian assets and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. As for the other major sticking point Lebanon, Israel continued to bomb the south of the country, whilst Hezbollah continued to fire rockets into Israel.
