A US-sanctioned Chinese tanker passed through the Strait of Hormuz on April 14 despite a US blockade on the chokepoint, ship tracking data showed. The medium-range tanker Rich Starry, carrying about 250,000 barrels of methanol, exited the Gulf after transiting the strait, according to data from LSEG, MarineTraffic and Kpler.
