Kemi Badenoch has accused Sir Keir Starmer of misrepresenting her position on the Iran war during a heated PMQs exchange. The prime minister said Badenoch had “called for us to jump into the war,” adding that she later made “the mother of all U-turns” and was now attempting to clarify her comments as “verbal support.” He added: “If you’re going to support and make your country safe, you have to get the right calls on the big issues,” referencing earlier calls for UK involvement”. “The prime minister loves to misrepresent my position on Iran,” Badenoch said in response. “Let’s stop talking about what I didn’t say, let’s start talking about what he isn’t doing.”
