The New York Times reports that Israel built a second secret military base in Iraq’s western desert to support its strikes on Iran – with US knowledge – and that the presence of these bases may have led to the death of the Bedouin shepherd who first alerted Iraqi authorities. The Wall Street Journal first reported last week that one base was established before Tel Aviv and Washington’s war on Iran, and that the US knew about it.
