On April 29, 2026, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk announced that he was “horrified” by the increase in executions in Iran and called for an immediate halt to them. The UN also announced that more than 4,000 people have been arrested on security charges since the start of the forty-day war between the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic. The US ceasefire announcement gave the regime the opportunity to hide its weakness and show off its strength with a new wave of executions and arrests in order to regain its strength and intimidate society.
KAYHAN.LONDON (Kayhan Institute) was founded by Dr. Mostafa Mesbahzadeh. The first issue of this newspaper was published on June 22, 1942.
