Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer claims US President Donald Trump is using the Iran conflict to strategically target a broader alliance, including Russia, China, and North Korea. “If you go back to President Trump’s actions in Venezuela to try and take out Maduro and reclaim at least some of the authority … it’s no mistake this is also a hedge against China,” Mr Spicer told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “By doing this, we are actually inserting ourselves into the security realm of what is good for the world. “This is a two-headed fight that we’re having … this isn’t just about Iran; it’s about the alliances that they have with North Korea, Russia and China. “These are all part of this equation to put our national security, and frankly, the world’s national security in a better place.”
