The United States and Iran traded strikes this morning after the downing of an Army Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran did not take responsibility for that action, but President Trump blamed the country for the downing, writing on social media “the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack.” The President added the two pilots involved were safe and uninjured.
