Iran braces for imminent US attack as air defence systems activated

The United States is set to launch more strikes on Iran in a matter of hours as it tries to force the regime to the negotiating table. War Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the US will be striking Iran tonight as peace talks drag on. Iran’s state-run news agency Mehr reported that air defence systems have been activated in the southern province of Fars. Meanwhile, Tasnim News Agency – another state-run Iranian outlet linked to the IRGC – said Iran’s military forces are on full alert tonight, and any US military action will be met with a “severe response”.
