Iran has responded to US President Donald Trump’s announcement on a potential breakthrough in the peace negotiations.
According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Qatar and Pakistan are active as mediators, but US actions are affecting the diplomatic process.
He claims a large part of the negotiating text had been finalised, but the American position kept shifting, and so far, Tehran has not reached a final conclusion regarding the agreement with the US.
