Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators gathered in Munich despite the rain and winter cold to demand regime change in Iran. The old Iranian flag with the lion and sun waved in the sea of people, and the cries of Reza Pahlavi echoed across the square. The demonstration, which according to the organizers attracted over 250,000 participants, became one of the largest Iran-related demonstrations in Europe in recent years and brought together opposition figures from several countries.
Many Swedish-Iranians had traveled far to participate, and the demonstration was part of a global day of action on February 14. In parallel with the international security conference, the member of parliament and Swedish-Iranian Nima Gholam Ali Pour (SD) participated, giving a speech and highlighting the need for international support for the Iranian people. – I tried to highlight the fact that the support of the outside world is needed for this regime to fall.
Because if it is the case that unarmed people protest against a regime that is armed to the teeth, these people will be killed. Especially if this regime does not take human rights into account. I tried to highlight this, that this military intervention, that the United States is there, that this should not be seen as aggression but as an opportunity where the Iranian people can get support, says Nima Gholam Ali Pour.
