Former Israeli government spokesperson Eylon Levy claims Tehran is using negotiations to buy time while pursuing control of the Strait of Hormuz and refusing to abandon its nuclear and missile ambitions. “The Iranian regime is trying to buy time, and if it can buy the Strait of Hormuz,” Mr Levy told Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus. “The Iranian regime has no interest in ending the triple threat of its nuclear program, ballistic missiles and proxy armies. “They’re planning to conquer the Strait of Hormuz. Erect a toll booth over it, charge ships to go through it. “We see they’re just mocking the United States with a tax on international ships, a tax on American bases.”
