The United States launched one of its deepest waves of strikes inside Iran since the beginning of the confrontation. According to reports, U.S. forces struck around 90 military targets, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance systems, missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along Iran’s coast.
Reports are raising questions over whether the U.S. struck near Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, including the Bushehr nuclear reactor area. Israel’s security establishment is monitoring the escalation closely, while readiness levels have been raised amid concerns that the confrontation between Washington and Tehran could spill into Israel.
One of the most dramatic reported targets was the Ak Takah Khan railway bridge in Golestan Province, northern Iran. This bridge is a strategic trade link connecting Iran to China and Russia, and it is part of the route Tehran uses to bypass sanctions and keep the Revolutionary Guards’ economic lifeline alive. If confirmed, this is not only a military strike — it is a direct hit on Iran’s survival network.
Iran reportedly fired missiles toward Jordan and launched attacks against targets in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. Iranian drones reportedly targeted Patriot defense systems in Kuwait, early-warning systems in Qatar, and fuel tanks in Bahrain. At least one American soldier was reportedly wounded, while Iran threatens that if U.S. strikes continue, American bases across the region will be attacked.
QatarEnergy has reportedly paused expansion activity at the massive Ras Laffan gas facility after an Iranian attack on a Qatari tanker, raising fears over global gas supply and energy prices ahead of winter. In Israel, officials assess that the confrontation is still mainly between the U.S. and Iran, but the defense establishment is preparing for escalation.
