Foundations of Defence for Democracies Research Analyst Janatan Sayeh says US President Donald Trump can’t walk away from the Iran war and focus on other foreign policy.
“Given the balance of power right now and given that Iran is increasingly testing the US appetite by attacking some of these allies unprovoked, so some of these attacks in recent weeks have been pre-emptive against Kuwait against Jordan,” Mr Sayeh told News24 host James Bolt.
“This is not an issue that you can simply leave and walk away from and maybe pursue other foreign policy endeavours.
“Approval ratings matter to Trump, fixing this problem is significant.”
