John Healey says the UK is taking the lead sanctioning Russia’s shadow oil fleet and has seized 200 of nearly 600 ships passing through British waters – but on the Middle East war front, could not rule out that Iran has missile capability to reach the UK. Mr Healey told Sky’s Sophy Ridge: “I understand the concerns that British people will have, but we have the resources and we have the alliances in place to be able to protect Britain. In a wide-ranging interview, the defence secretary also defended the UK’s response to the Iran war, saying: “I’m proud of the readiness. I’m proud of the response of our armed forces.”
