The sound bounces between the walls of houses in central Stockholm and grows with every step. Flags are raised. For some time now, thousands of exiled Iranians have been gathering in Stockholm to demonstrate against the regime in Iran.
At the forefront is Anshan Khosravi, a five-time Swedish karate champion. A body trained for control and precision. But that’s not where his fight lies anymore. It has moved out into the streets, into something that cannot be measured in medals or results.
He is one of the organizers and supervises the demonstrations with total discipline and presence. It is noticeable in the way he moves through the train. The looks that seek him, the short exchanges, the way people stop and listen. The trust is palpable.
