TBN Israel’s Yair Pinto and Mati Shoshani reports on the Israel- Iran and regional war.
IRAN: Tehran is celebrating what it calls a “victory” over the United States while refusing to surrender its uranium. After President Trump said Iran had agreed to give up its nuclear program, the Revolutionary Guards pushed back, declaring they would never hand over the uranium to Washington. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also said Trump has no justification for denying Iran what he described as its right to nuclear weapons.
HORMUZ / ECONOMIC WAR: Iran announced it has closed the Strait of Hormuz as the United States expands Operation “Economic Fury.” According to the report, Washington is now planning to take control of Iran-linked ships around the world, widening the naval blockade beyond the Middle East and targeting Tehran’s oil exports, especially routes tied to China. Yair and Mati break down what this means for the regional order and the global economy.
DIPLOMACY / CEASEFIRE: Even as negotiations continue under heavy American pressure, Iran is trying to preserve the strategic assets it believes survived the war: regime survival, leverage over Hormuz, missile and drone launch capability, and its proxy grip through Hezbollah. At the same time, coordination between the IDF and the U.S. military is reportedly focused on the possibility that the ceasefire with Iran could collapse at any moment.
LEBANON: The IDF says that in the war against Hezbollah, more than 1,800 Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon were eliminated since the start of Operation “Roaring Lion,” including more than 150 on the day before the ceasefire. The IDF also said roughly 300 military targets were struck that same day, including launchers, headquarters, and weapons depots, and announced the elimination of Hezbollah Bint Jbeil sector commander Ali Rasa Abbas.
U.S. POLITICS: Yair also addresses new remarks from former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, who accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of dragging President Trump into military action against Iran, as the political debate in Washington intensifies alongside the regional war.
