Four years ago, Ukrainian forces recaptured the town of Bucha from the Russians. However, this moment of liberation was quickly overshadowed by the events that occurred during the Russian occupation. In the first weeks of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops killed hundreds of civilians. These war atrocities are now under investigation as possible war crimes. Russia continues to deny any wrongdoing.
