Iran has submitted its response to a US proposal aimed at ending the conflict. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said his country, which has acted as a mediator, had received Iran’s response but did not provide further details. US President Donald Trump has commented on this. “For 47 years the Iranians have been ‘tapping’ us along, keeping us waiting, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent, unarmed protestors, and laughing at our now great again country,” Mr Trump said. “They will be laughing no longer!”
