The Trump administration is adamant a deal with Iran could be done in a matter of days, as Iran declares an agreement has “never been closer”. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has confirmed that a “final, agreed-upon text” of the peace deal between Iran and the US has been reached and is now working to finalise the next steps. This comes as details of what’s included in the proposed peace deal have been revealed. Meanwhile, a senior US administration official has commented on how confident America is when it comes to the peace deal. “If I were to give you a confidence level, I would have said 75 per cent this morning. It’s probably more like 80-85 per cent now, but it’s not 100 per cent,” the senior US official said. “We are going to see whether Iranians care more about economic prosperity or their nuclear weapons program.”
