The IDF say Israeli forces have struck Iranian military targets in western and central Iran, just hours after President Trump urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to retaliate, following Tehran’s missile barrage on Israel late Sunday.
President Trump says U.S. troops will remain deployed in the Middle East until the military operation in Iran is completed. The U.S. Embassy in Israel has ordered staff and families to shelter in place due to heightened security alerts, with consular services in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv closed on Monday. Six people are injured after a stabbing attack inside New York’s Penn Station on Sunday evening. Police say the attack unfolded around 7 PM and prompted a large emergency response.
A suspect was taken into custody shortly after the attack. Victims suffered a range of injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals. Officials have not released details on a possible motive, and that the investigation is still ongoing. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth joined veterans, troops and world leaders in Normandy, France over the weekend, to mark the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day invasion. Hegseth honored the sacrifice of Allied troops who stormed the beaches of France during World War II. The D-Day landings involved more than 133,000 Allied troops in one of the largest military operations in history, with more than 4,000 Allied troops losing their lives that day.
