President Trump has set his sights on Iran’s oil-rich Kharg Island to force Iran’s hand into surrendering its grip on the Middle East. Former British Army Officer and military analyst, Colonel Richard Kemp explains how the island could be key in the Iran conflict.
It comes amid reports that US vice president JD Vance is set to fly to Geneva to sign the deal to end the war as soon as this weekend. In a 14-point deal drafted by Iran and “leaked” by state media, Tehran said it would require the US to hand over $300bn (£225bn) to redevelop the country.
