The United States has launched a second wave of airstrikes on targets across Iran after President Donald Trump warned Tehran it would “pay the price” for stalled negotiations. Iran responded with strikes on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.
The latest escalation is putting a fragile two-month ceasefire under severe strain and appears to have pushed diplomatic efforts further off track.
