US officials say Washington and Tehran have decided to halt tit-for-tat attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, which have reignited in recent days and threatened an agreed “memorandum of understanding”. President Donald Trump says US negotiators are on their way to Doha for talks, but the focus increasingly appears to be the Strait of Hormuz, rather than Iran’s nuclear program.
