The confrontation between the Islamic Regime Occupying Iran, the United States, Israel and the IRGC has entered another potentially decisive moment — and the developments of the last 48 hours could determine whether this conflict moves toward a diplomatic breakthrough or another major round of military escalation. Tonight on The Goldie Show, I’m breaking down what has happened, what we actually know, what remains uncertain, and what President Donald Trump may do next. One of the biggest stories is the Strait of Hormuz. Iran says it is in the final stages of drafting an agreement with Oman concerning shipping through this critical waterway. President Trump, meanwhile, has remained deliberately vague about whether an agreement has actually been reached. The stakes are enormous: before the current war, roughly one-fifth of globally traded oil and natural gas moved through Hormuz. But negotiations are happening against a backdrop of continuing military danger. According to maritime intelligence cited by the Associated Press, at least two ships were struck in the Strait of Hormuz during the past week, while other vessels reported warnings or near misses involving entities claiming to represent Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. The proposed Hormuz arrangement is also controversial. Reporting indicates Iran has sought a role overseeing inbound shipping while Oman would oversee outbound traffic, while Washington has opposed any arrangement effectively granting Tehran control over the international waterway. And this isn’t happening in isolation. The wider region remains unstable, with renewed Israel-Hezbollah tensions in Lebanon, continued activity by Iran-backed Houthis around strategic shipping routes, and enormous pressure on Washington, Tehran and America’s Gulf allies to prevent another explosion of fighting.
