Meeting with a group of pro-Iranian writers and translators

In a meeting with a number of pro-Iranian writers and translators, Prince Reza Pahlavi discussed the role of thought, writing, and culture in the struggle for Iran’s freedom and reclaiming the national narrative from the discourses that dominate the intellectual, media, and academic space.

The writers present at the meeting spoke about the continuation of the tradition of Iranism and freedom-seeking from the Constitutional era to the present day, the role of women and new generations in breaking away from the intellectual legacy of 1957, and the necessity of redefining the image of Iran in the media and intellectual space of the West.

They also emphasized the importance of strengthening independent networks of writers and intellectuals, confronting stereotypes and distorted narratives of Iranian society, and separating the margins and hype from the real discourse of society.
