For the first time, Iran launched ballistic missiles aimed at a U.K.-U.S. military base in the Indian Ocean. Meanwhile, the main pressure point remains the Strait of Hormuz, which carries about 20 per cent of the world’s oil supply. Tehran is blocking this vital route, upending the global energy industry. The U.S. military now states that Iran’s ability to target the Strait has been degraded, and President Trump says he is considering winding down the war.
