Donald Trump announced on Monday that he had called off at the last minute a new attack that he said was scheduled for Tuesday against Iran, asserting that there was a “very good chance” of reaching an agreement with Tehran.
He nevertheless affirmed that the United States was prepared to launch a “full-scale, all-out attack against Iran at any time, if an acceptable agreement is not reached” with Tehran. The agreement in question must ensure that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons, Donald Trump wrote on his social media. The head of the Iranian armed forces command, Ali Abdullahi, responded by warning “the United States and its allies” against any further “strategic and miscalculation errors.”
