The US and Iran have traded blows in the Middle East, according to reports from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the US military. Iranian missiles struck Kuwait’s international airport and the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, while US Central Command says it responded with self-defence strikes on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, Israel has continued to attack southern Lebanon despite US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a de-escalation deal with militant group Hezbollah.
