Former US negotiator Aaron David Miller says the United States is on the verge of suffering a significant strategic defeat if it’s forced to acquiesce to Iran’s leverage and control over the Strait of Hormuz. However, he says he’d need to see a text of any agreement between Oman and Iran for it to be taken seriously.
