U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, during a bilateral meeting with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the G7, was asked how confident he was a peace deal with Iran would be signed by Friday.
“I think it will be done, they want to sign. They want to get back to a normal life,” Trump said.
The president added, “this is a memorandum of understanding, it’s a very strong one… this is a long, pretty detailed memorandum that goes into a regular contract. I would think they would do it, if they don’t then that’s okay, we’ll have to start the process again.”
