US President Donald Trump has told the New York Post he would meet Iran’s senior leaders after the regime said it would not attend a second round of peace talks. US Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff are reportedly on their way to Islamabad to prepare for meetings. “The deal that we are making with Iran will be far better than the JCPOA,” Mr Trump said. “If I did not terminate that deal, nuclear weapons would have been used on Israel, and all over the Middle East. “I am under no pressure whatsoever, although it will all happen relatively quickly.”
