TBN Israel’s Yair Pinto reports on the Israel-Iran and regional war.
IRAN: The confrontation between the United States and Iran escalated overnight after U.S. Central Command announced wide-scale strikes in southern Iran against Revolutionary Guards targets. According to the report, American forces sank Iranian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz after Iranian boats attempted to place more naval mines, and additional U.S. strikes followed after missiles were fired at American aircraft operating in the area.
HORMUZ: The Strait of Hormuz is becoming the center of the crisis. U.S. forces are enforcing the blockade against vessels trying to enter or leave Iranian ports, while Iran has begun collecting passage fees through the strait. Gulf states are now calling for a boycott of Iran’s new demand, as Washington insists the strait must remain open “one way or another.”
NUCLEAR TALKS: Negotiations between the United States and Iran are slowing down over fundamental disagreements on the Iranian nuclear program. President Trump is demanding that Iran’s enriched uranium be transferred immediately to the United States for destruction, or destroyed on site under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
LEBANON: A few hours before the U.S. strikes in Iran, Israel struck Hezbollah deep inside Beirut. Tehran warned Washington that Israeli attacks in Beirut could endanger the diplomatic track, while Israel received a green light from Washington to intensify strikes against the Hezbollah terrorist organization if the threat continues.
ABRAHAM ACCORDS: President Trump is pushing for a broader regional agreement that would include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, and other Arab and Muslim countries joining the Abraham Accords with Israel. Yair Pinto and Mati Shoshani explain why the Iran deal, the war in Lebanon, and regional normalization are now connected in one major Middle East struggle.
