The U.S. and Iran are set to meet in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday – at least according to U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump made the claim in a Truth Social post on Monday, alleging Iranian officials “requested a meeting.” Those officials, however, say no such meeting was in the books. This comes as cracks grow in Iran’s memorandum of understanding with Washington after their respective militaries traded strikes in the Middle East over the weekend. As of now, the ceasefire established between the nations has held for only 10 days. But as Global’s Candice Cole reports, the U.S. says they are standing down on any further military action.
